WHAT IS ENVISAGE?
Envisage Play Festival: a celebration of new works is a play festival created by Webster University & Conservatory students to produce new works and theater allowing young artists to have a voice in ways previously unheard of.
Founded by Brooke Viegut and Jake Kevrick, this festival (and company) is designed to allow students of all aspects of theater to come together and create new, innovative work that they are passionate about. This gives budding playwrights a platform to produce their work, as well as provide directing, acting, design, and dramaturgy opportunities to the students of Webster University.
These opportunities serve as a lab, with the goal not being a full-fledged production but rather a chance to grow and explore areas of a craft that are often not offered to students. We strive to create a safe, creative environment to allow each other to try new things and receive feedback from an audience on their work.
